Access Davis Edge (Canvas-Linked Assignments)
To access Davis Edge Quizzing Assignments, log into your LMS (Canvas) and Launch your Canvas course.
You do not need to separately log in at any fadavis.com website, and should use Canvas as your starting point when viewing assignments or grades in Davis Edge.
Follow the steps below to Verify Your Access, which will confirm that the Canvas Integration is active and that your F.A. Davis access is correctly aligned.
Verify Your Access
As a first step, please verify that you are able to successfully load a Davis Edge Assignment Link from your Canvas Course.
1. Locate and click a link to a Davis Edge Assignment
2. On the next page, select "Load this assignment in a new window"
3. If Davis Edge (Assignments Page) loads in a new tab, you've verified your access (sample image below in next step). Please contact [email protected] and/or your Program Director for assistance if you receive an Access Error of any kind.
Preview Student Assignments
Assignments in Davis Edge should only be opened by students in a Proctored environment.
Assignments will open to students on the day they are administered. You as an instructor, however, can preview assignments at any time once you've launched your Davis Edge course.
1. Visit the steps above to Verify Access to to arrive at the "Assignment Grades" page
2. On this page, use the "=" action bar to Preview an Assignment
(Note that instructor users are not authorized to Edit, Delete, or Copy any assignment, and should reach out to local Program Directors for questions related to content or grading.)
3. Once loaded, the Preview will allow you to view the questions contained in the Assignment one at a time. Select Next to see the next question, or Exit Preview to return to the Success Center.
View Assignment Grades
You can view grades in Canvas or in Davis Edge once your students have completed work. Students' grades should also populate automatically in the Canvas gradebook as long as students have successfully used the links in the Canvas course to launch and complete assignments. The data in the Davis Edge gradebook will provide more detailed and comparative views of student progress, but the grades themselves should match what you see in Canvas.
To view the Gradebook in Davis Edge, use the same link(s) in Canvas used above to Access Davis Edge / Preview Assignments. Once the preview loads, you can select Gradebook from the top navigation bar.
View Davis Edge Application Gradebook
To access your Gradebook, select the "Gradebook" link at the top of your page.
In the Instructor Gradebook, you can toggle between the default Class View and the Student View. In the Class View, you can view the average Assignment score or the average Practice Quiz score of your class.
To view an individual student's grades, select the Student tab on the right of the page (1). Then, you may toggle between students using the Student dropdown menu (2).
You can display grades for all assignments, or view just Assignments or Practice Quizzes.

Please visit the Concorde Davis Edge Student Orientation Article to familiarize yourselves with what students will see in their view, which is slightly different from your (more robust) view of Davis Edge.
