In addition to the Davis Advantage assignments your instructor has chosen, you can make yourself Practice Quizzes to further familiarize yourself with content from your textbook. Your Practice Quiz scores won't be recorded in your Advantage Gradebook.
To create a Practice Quiz, first launch your Davis Advantage class linked in your LMS course. If you need more information on launching Advantage class links, please consult our "Quick-start Guide" article.
Once you've launched an Advantage class, click PLP (1) in the top-left navigation bar to access your Personalized Learning Plan.
Your PLP page collects insights on your Advantage assignment performance. For more information on checking your Advantage assignment performance, consult our "Grading and Personalized Learning Plans" article.
On your PLP page, click to display Quizzing (2).
Next, scroll down to find your Practice Quiz panel and click the "Create Practice Quiz" button (3) in the top-right of that panel.
After you've launched your Practice Quiz Builder, you'll be able to create a Practice Quiz.
First, enter a name for your Practice Quiz (1). You instructor is able to see the name of the quiz.
You can choose content by Course Topic or by Concept (2). Course Topic will display content in the order in which it appears in your textbook. Concept groups content under umbrella concepts and does not go in order of the textbook chapters.
You can Select All (3) to create a quiz covering all key topics in the class. Alternately, you can select one or more topics at a time (4). All topics you check off will be included on the Practice Quiz.
Next, select the number of questions in your quiz (5). You can choose between 5, 10, 15, 20 or 25 questions.
The Practice Quiz will default to filter out questions you have previously answered correctly (6). If you do not want the quiz to filter out questions you have previously answered correctly, you can click "No."
Next, click Start Quiz (7) to begin taking your Practice Quiz.
Your Practice Quiz will generate regarding the parameters you chose on the "Practice Quiz Builder" screen.
Once you have completed a Practice Quiz, you can review the questions you answered correctly and incorrectly, and the rationale for each question's correct answer. Click the "Show All Details" button at the top of your Practice Quiz's Feedback page, or the "Show" dropdowns for individual questions.
You can review your Practice Quizzes by returning to the Practice Quiz panel on your PLP page, then clicking a "Review" button for a previously-completely Practice Quiz.
